FOMO entries
Trader Psychology
Chasing a move that already ran
FOMO, the fear of missing out, is what pushes a trader to chase price after a move has already run, jumping in late with no real entry plan just to not feel left out.
The worst point in the setup
Chasing an extended move means buying at the worst possible point in the setup, right as the reward shrinks and the realistic stop distance grows.
A rule, not willpower
The fix for FOMO isn't trying to feel less of it, it's building a rule: if the entry criteria weren't met before the move, the trade doesn't happen, no matter how far price has already gone.
