The short version
Wick collects an email address, a username, the answers you give during signup, and your progress through the app. It uses those to run your account and to work out which parts of the product are working. It does not sell any of it, and it never has access to real money, real brokerage accounts, or real trades.
What is collected
Account details. Your email address and a password, or a Google sign-in if you choose that. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us. Your chosen username is public — it appears on leaderboards and in competitions.
Signup answers. During onboarding you are asked how you found Wick, your experience level, and what you want to get out of it. These shape the difficulty and the course you are offered, and in aggregate they tell us which channels bring people who stay.
Learning progress. Which lessons you have finished, which questions you got wrong, your XP, your streak, and your confidence answers. This is what the Edge Score is computed from, and what makes the review drills target your actual weak spots.
Simulated trading activity. Every practice trade you place — symbol, quantity, price, timestamp, and result. All of it is fake money on a simulated account. This is what the coach reads to find patterns in how you trade.
Payment details, if you subscribe. Handled entirely by Stripe. Wick never sees or stores your card number. We store only whether your subscription is active.
Technical basics. Standard server logs, including IP address, used to rate limit abuse of the market-data endpoints and to debug errors.
What is not collected
No location tracking. No advertising identifiers. No third-party ad or tracking pixels. No access to contacts, camera, microphone, or files. No real financial account is ever connected, because there is nothing in Wick that touches real money.
Where it is stored
Account data, progress and simulated trades are stored with Supabase, on infrastructure they operate. Payment records are held by Stripe. The site is served by Vercel. Some of your progress is also kept in your own browser's local storage so the app works when the connection drops; clearing your browser data clears that copy.
Market data
Prices and charts come from publicly available market data feeds. That data describes companies and instruments, not you, and requesting a chart sends no personal information.
The AI coach
When you ask the in-app coach a question, three things are sent to the model provider (Anthropic): your question, the computed signals from the chart you are looking at, and a short summary of your own practice record — your score, your weakest area, and any habits the rule engine has identified. Your email, username and password are never sent. If you would rather not use it, simply do not open the coach panel; the rest of the app is unaffected.
Age
Wick is not intended for children under 13, and accounts should not be created by them. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, it will be deleted. If you are under 18, please use Wick with a parent or guardian's knowledge.
Who your data is shared with
Only the service providers needed to run the product: Supabase (accounts and data), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Google (only if you use Google sign-in), and Anthropic (only for coach messages, as described above). Each receives only what its job requires. Nothing is sold to anyone, and nothing is shared with advertisers.
Your username, XP, streak and competition results are visible to other users by design — that is what a leaderboard is. Your email address is never shown to other users.
Getting your data, or getting it deleted
Email joinwickapp@gmail.com from the address on the account and ask for a copy of your data or for the account to be deleted. Deletion removes your account, your progress, and your simulated trade history. Requests are handled within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who it goes to, the date at the top changes and a notice appears in the app. Wick is an early product and is actively being built; this page is kept current rather than aspirational.
