What an edge actually is
The Math of an Edge
Not a secret, a small persistent tilt
An edge is not a setup nobody knows about. It's any repeatable process whose expectancy is positive after costs — often by a margin so small it's invisible in any individual trade. Casinos run on a 2% house edge and it is enough, because they get the sample size. Your edge might be that you only take one setup, you always size the same, and you never trade the first ten minutes. Boring, unglamorous, and mathematically identical to the casino's position.
