The post-win trap
Trader Psychology
A win can be dangerous too
A win can be just as dangerous as a loss. Overconfidence right after a big winner often leads to skipping the next entry's checklist or sizing up before the next setup has even been confirmed.
A deliberate pause after winning
Some traders build in a deliberate pause after a win, stepping away and waiting for the next genuinely clean setup instead of immediately hunting for the next trade to keep the streak going.
An impulsive win can be worse than a loss
One impulsive, undisciplined win is arguably more dangerous than a loss, since it can license the exact behavior, oversized, no plan, that eventually blows up an otherwise solid account.
