The obvious spot is the dangerous spot

One tick under the swing low is exactly where thousands of other traders put their stop too. You're not hiding there. You're standing in the most crowded, most frequently hunted square foot on the entire chart.

Give the level room to be a decoy

Placing your stop a bit further beyond the obvious level, past where a sweep would realistically reach, lets the level do its job as bait for OTHER traders' stops while yours survives the hunt.

Wider isn't reckless if size adjusts

A stop placed beyond a sweep zone is naturally wider. That's fine, as long as position size shrinks to match. Room for the stop to breathe and proper sizing are two halves of the same decision.
